Reading to your baby is extremely beneficial and the earlier you start the better. It helps you bond. The more you read to your baby, the more prepared he’ll be to start reading on his own. You are teaching your baby that books are fun and he will be more likely to have read as a hobby. It will enhance the baby’s vocabulary in the near future. It exposes your baby to emotions, with the sound of your voice helping him /her understand appropriate responses to different feelings. It exposes babies to different shapes and colors. When babies are little they don’t really care what you are reading so you can read whatever you please and it will still be highly beneficial to them! My baby at 5 months had already listened to me read four Harry Potter books 🤓. We started reading to him on day 1 and now at 8 months, he looks forward to reading time!
