How To Heat Baby Food

I took this picture so that I could tell you all how bad microwaves are and why you shouldn’t use them to heat a baby’s food. However, when I started doing my research to give you all the negatives of microwaves, I found out that they are not as bad as I thought. Nonetheless, you should take certain precautions when heating a baby’s food in the microwave.

First, you need to know that microwaves don’t distribute heat evenly so the food that might seem to have the perfect temperature on the surface, maybe very hot inside. This could lead to baby burning so be very careful. To avoid this, don’t microwave baby food in a jar, always pour it on a dish first and spread it on it as evenly as possible.

Don’t heat up eggs or meats in the microwave. Since these foods are high in fat, they can easily overheat. Stay away from plastic when heating food up in the microwave, this can be harmful to the baby’s health (and yours). Cover the food to retain its moisture. Also, when the food is ready, stir it, let it rest for a few seconds, and taste it before giving it to your baby.
