Tips For Traveling With A Baby

Even though we all MUST stay home during this pandemic, here is some advice for traveling with a baby for when all of this is over:

1. The younger the baby the easier it will be to travel with him because it will be easier to entertain him.

2. Don’t try to do as much as you used to when you didn’t have a baby. He will get grumpy if he is too tired and trust me YOU WILL BE EXHAUSTED if you don’t limit the activities.

3. Be willing to breastfeed anywhere.

4. Make sure your hotel offers a crib or just take your pack and play with you and let baby sleep there.

5. Carseat-stroller combos and baby carriers are life savers.

6. Don’t pack tons of clothes for the baby but be willing to wash them in the hotel’s sink or bathtub.

7. Make sure you have everything you need to travel. If you go internationally you will need a passport for the baby which takes around 4 weeks to process.

8. Many airlines charge a small fee for your baby (even if he is under 2) so call and ask how much you should pay and what this includes.

9. Have fun and take tons of pictures!
