What Should I Pack For The Hospital For Baby

Hospital Bag For Delivery

1. Nursing Bras
If you are planning to breastfeed, nursing bras will help you do it more comfortably when you have guests in your room.

2. Hair products, skincare products, deodorant, make up, etc.
Bring all your favorites. You will want to look pretty for the pictures after baby is born!

3. Toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and soap.
Most hospitals provide these if you forget them but they are hotel quality stuff (not the best) so I encourage you to bring your own!

4. A nice cozy bath rope
This will definitely help you feel comfortable!

5. An outfit to get out of the hospital
Don’t worry about bringing more clothes or pajamas. In my experience you will just use the robes they give your at the hospital because they will come check on you often and you don’t want to be taking your clothes off all the time. By the way, if you are like me and didn’t know, after you give birth you will still look like you are about 6 months pregnant, so make sure the clothes you bring are big enough to fit you.

6. Reading material or movies
The movie selection they had in the hospital was terrible!

7. Your camera

8. Phone charger

9. Clothes for your husband
I don’t know about your hubby but mine is not great at packing!

10. Clothes for baby
You only need one outfit to get baby out of the hospital. You don’t want to get him dressed during your stay because he will be sealed anyway and they will take his clothes off all the time.

11. A car seat already installed
Many hospitals won’t let you go home if you don’t have one.

12. Flip flops you can use in the shower
Not for your feet to stay clean but to have more stability in the shower. You don’t want to fall.

13. A folder to keep all the paperwork they give you

14. Your breast pump
You won’t use it but the nurses can teach you how it works in case you don’t know!

15. An abdominal binder
Really this should be #1 because it is specific to having caesarian section. This will help tremendously with the pain from surgery.
